Pancake quotes

I put Pancake down for a nap and after an hour she still wasn't asleep.  I went to her room and encouraged her to try to sleep and that I would check on her after I folded the laundry -- the life of a stay-at-home-parent is so glamorous.  She started crying and said, "but I'm awake!"  I reiterated that I wanted her to lay down on her pillow and try to sleep.  With big wet eyes and blotchy cheeks she looked up at me and pathetically said, "but, I love you so much."  She really knows how to push the guilt button, even at her young age.

Doodle came home from school and was working on his homework, which takes him all of two minutes.  Pancake got a piece of paper and a pencil and was scribbling then she said, "When we are finished with our homework can we watch a movie?!?"

I love how she mimics him.
