I have been remiss -- and busy
I haven't written in a while. I have been busy taking both my children to the doctor for various symptoms at varying times. I have been busy doing tons of laundry and trying to keep up with the mess that is my house. I have been busy organizing our neighbors to do what we can to prevent new houses from being built across the street from us, and investigating the requirements for permits and zoning.
There are conflicting reports on different city-run websites. Do you have to post your zoning permit on the property you are subdividing or not? What is the expiration time on a zoning permit (1 year, 3 years, none)? And what happens if two years pass and you haven't done anything with the land you subdivided? Do you have to get another permit?
I have been busy preparing for an interview for a job I'm not sure I want. I bombed the interview yesterday so the question (whether to work full time or not) is likely moot. If I don't get the job I can stay home full time with my children for a while longer, which I will be glad about.
I have been busy playing baseball with Doodle. He is on a t-ball team now. He had his first game on Friday and did well. It was really cute to see him on a team with other four-year olds. they have shirts with the team's name and a number on the back (Doodle is #3) and hats. They wore batting helmets that made them look like bobble heads. They each had a chance to hit and field the ball in each inning (they only played two innings). Some kids hit the ball off the tee then ran after the ball, fielding their own hit. Some kids just stood there after they hit the ball only running after one of the coaches told them to run to first base pointing to another coach who was the first baseman. It was a lot of fun and really really cute. I forgot to bring my camera so I don't have any pictures of this cuteness, but my friend took some pictures of Doodle for us. Now I just have to remember to email him to get them.
